Trafalgar Square is located in the heart of London. It has become a major tourist attraction because of its rich history. It is not wrong to say that a visit to London is incomplete without exploration of Trafalgar Square. The square is historical and is home to several features important statues, including the Nelson column. The Nelson column is located in the Centre with four lion statues he keeps. Statues and sculptures of the place are mainly presented with a fourth plinth displaying pieces of contemporary art that are interchangeable. Trafalgar Square is also a common site for political demonstrations. Trafalgar Square is a huge circular place surrounded by roads on three sides and the National Gallery. Initially, it is a system of movement one way so that traffic was avoided by pedestrians, by underground passages, attached to Charing Cross underground station. Now a new traffic system has been introduced. In addition, Trafalgar Square creates a platform for events and upcoming new art performances.
